Dispatch Tea & Therapy

Dispatch Tea & Therapy

Explore the intersection of 911 and mental health

D

Dispatch

After more than 20 years in 911—working as a call taker, dispatcher, trainer, and supervisor—I’ve seen the inner workings of emergency response from every angle. This space gives voice to the often invisible challenges faced by dispatch professionals, whose stories deserve to be heard just as much as those on the front lines

T

Tea

Tea is my comfort drink, my conversation starter, and my favorite metaphor. Whether I’m sipping it or spilling it, I’m here for real talk. Expect unfiltered reflections, behind-the-scenes insights, and the occasional well-placed eye-roll about life inside the headset and outside the box.

T

Therapy

Now training to become a mental health counselor, and already certified as a Peer Specialist in Washington State, I’m passionate about bridging the worlds of crisis response and emotional resilience. Here, I’ll share therapeutic tools, self-care practices, and hard-won lessons from both sides of the line—for those who serve, those who support, and those who are seeking support themselves.

Weekly Highlights

  • Mental health tips tailored for high-stress environments
  • Behind-the-scenes stories from the 911 world
  • Therapeutic techniques for first responders
  • Inspiring poetry and reflections
  • Dark humor that only those high stress careers will truly understand

Let's Build a Community
